Senior HR Expertise,

Personal Partnership.

About Us

King HR Advisory is a family-run HR and people advisory practice. We work with charities, social enterprises and purpose-led organisations on complex people decisions, the ones shaped by risk, growth or change.

We founded this because too many purpose-led organisations face sensitive, high-stakes people situations without anyone senior to turn to. Not a helpline. Not a template. A trusted partner who knows their organisation and gives them a straight answer.

Why we exist

Most charities and social enterprises reach a point where instinct and goodwill aren't enough. The organisation has grown, the environment has become more complex, or something has happened that's exposed a gap. That's when leaders need clear thinking, sound judgement and someone who understands both the human and the legal reality of people decisions.

That's what we're here for.

How we work

We work with a small number of organisations at any one time. That's deliberate. It means when you work with King HR Advisory, you work directly with us - consistently, personally, and with proper context about your organisation.

We're often brought in before situations escalate. Our job is to help you protect your mission, your people and your reputation, and make people decisions you can stand behind.

Meet our Founders

A young man with light brown hair and a beard, wearing a dark blazer and white shirt, smiling against a black background.

Jason co‑founded King HR Advisory after more than a decade in senior people and HR leadership roles across purpose‑led, regulated and professional services organisations.

He has led complex people agendas, operated at board level, and partnered with executive teams across the UK and EMEA — often in environments where decisions carry heightened scrutiny, ethical responsibility and risk.

Alongside his professional work, Jason has served as a trustee for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and Age UK Sheffield, giving him first‑hand experience of the governance, accountability and stewardship expectations placed on charity leaders and boards.

Jason understands the realities of purpose‑led organisations from the inside: balancing mission, people, governance and sustainability — not in theory, but in practice. Clients value his clear thinking, measured judgement and ability to help leaders make sound decisions before issues escalate.

He holds an MSc in Human Resource Management, a Level 7 CIPD qualification and is a full CIPD member.

Co-founder & Director

Becky is the operational heart of King HR Advisory, bringing deep leadership experience from Sheffield’s charity and hospitality sectors.

Her background gives her a grounded understanding of the day‑to‑day realities many purpose‑led organisations face: stretched capacity, frontline pressures, high emotional labour and the importance of culture in sustaining teams over time.

Becky brings a people‑first, highly practical approach, ensuring every interaction feels supportive, clear and considered. Clients consistently value her ability to bring warmth, structure and calm to complex or sensitive situations — particularly during periods of change or uncertainty.

Becky ensures that King HR Advisory never loses sight of the human experience behind organisational decisions.

How we work together

We work closely with our clients to build genuine, trusted relationships and stay consistently involved in the work that matters.

When you work with King HR Advisory, you work directly with us, this allows us to offer continuity, discretion and advice that is properly grounded in your organisation’s context.

Working with us

When you work with King HR Advisory, you work directly with us — consistently and personally. We're often brought in before situations escalate, helping leaders address people issues early and in a way that protects what matters most.

Our clients

We work primarily with charities, social enterprises and purpose-led organisations of around 30–200 people. Typically led by a CEO or ED who cares deeply about their people and their mission, but doesn't have a dedicated HR function and is navigating a moment of growth, change or complexity.

Most come to us because they want a trusted partner, not a consultant. They need clear thinking, sound judgement and a trusted partner - not an HR function for the sake of it.
